Our next Embraced:Fully Interview Series call will be Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 6:00 pm Pacific. We’ll be recording the session in case you can’t make it.
Our special guest for this interview is Kalen McAllister, founder of Laughing Bear Bakery, located in St. Louis, MO.
Laughing Bear Bakery is a work-skills Reintegration Program for ex-offenders founded and run by Karlene (Kalen) McAllister. The goal of this nonprofit organization is to offer an employment opportunity to ex-offenders who are attempting to transition back into the community. Laughing Bear Bakery provides these men and women with on-the-job training and work experience in a steady position during their transition period.
Kalen is a Buddhist priest and served as a prison chaplain in Missouri from 2009-2015. After retiring as a chaplain she opened Laughing Bear Bakery in order to help provide employment and work skills development for ex-offenders.
All are welcome to attend!
