Where your gift goes
A year of support for 100 people a month
In 2027 our pilot becomes the Reentry Partnership Program. Each person who joins gets a year of support that starts 90 days before release, coordinated by a Reentry Navigator.
- Feedback on their written Reentry Plan
- A Correspondence Partner who writes to them, if they want one
- Help finding housing and work where they are going
- A phone and text line for their first year home
We will grow first in California, Texas, Illinois and Florida, where many of our learners are going home.
Give
$25 a month gives someone a year of support.
Monthly gifts help us plan ahead and say yes to more of the people who ask. A gift of any size helps.
The monthly form opens with Embraced Fully already chosen. On the card form, choose Embraced:Fully Program in the Fund menu.

What learners say
Anonymous reviews from people taking our course inside.
This was hands down one of the best courses that I took on Edovo. I want to thank all of the individuals in the videos. They are all truly an inspiration, and I wish them all well on this journey.
Extremely helpful preparation for release from prison. Now I have an assured plan for reentry into the Free World once again. May our Lord Jesus Christ lead and bless your life.
Best course I have found so far. I have recommended it to everyone I know that is currently getting close to parole. Thanks for a lot of great information.
Thanks to you all and Leticia for being such a great and open speaker. She inspired me to tell my story in my speech class.
You were so thorough! You thought of everything! The reentry plan you help us make is a powerful tool to help ensure our success!
What we’ve built
Four connected tools, built by a small team
We built each of these with AI-assisted workflows, which keeps our cost per person low. Together they carry a person’s plan out of prison and into the community.
Ready for Reentry
22 lessons on Edovo tablets, built on the Risk-Need-Responsivity model. Each lesson adds to a written Reentry Plan, and people who have been to prison tell their stories throughout.
ReentryDB
When learners ask for help, their requests, plans and release dates arrive here with their consent. Automatic checks of state corrections records tell us when someone is close to release.
Reentry Partnership
Our online training platform. Correspondence Partners take a free two-hour training, pass a background check, and then write to one person who is preparing for release.
ReentryMap
A free, mobile-friendly directory of more than 5,700 reentry services in all 50 states and DC, so help can be found close to where each person is going.
An AI reentry companion
More people ask for help each week than we can match with volunteers. We are building a phone and text companion that already knows each person’s plan. It finds local help on ReentryMap and brings in a volunteer or navigator when a person is needed.
Safety and research
Crisis messages will reach a person right away, with 988, 911 and 211 shared at once, and the companion will not give legal, parole or medical advice. We plan an outcome study with our Scientific Advisory Board so the field learns who needs a person, and when.
Who we are
Six years of welcoming people home
Embraced:Fully started in 2020, welcoming people home through small teams of local volunteers. About 150 people came to us by mail and referral in those years. The course now lets us reach thousands.
Thank you to everyone who already gives. The Principle Foundation, The Isabel Foundation, the Doris di Stefano Legacy Fund in Solvang, and many individual donors, churches and associations have made this work possible.
Scientific Advisory Board
Ten reentry scholars, convened with David Harding of UC Berkeley, with members at Arizona State, Cornell, CU Boulder, Maryland, NC State, Northeastern, Penn State, UCLA and the University at Albany.
Partners
Edovo carries the course on its tablets. CEO Works is a partner in Colorado, and we host the annual Embraced & Empowered conference, held in Boulder in 2026.
Team
Gabriel Serafini, co-founder, leads technology and operations. David Fowler, DMin, co-founder, hosts our Voices of Reentry interview series. AmiLynne Carroll, our Reentry Navigator, works with participants and volunteers.
